What Can't You Do?

Updated: Apr 12, 2023

Do you like Las Vegas?

Last time I went there we stayed at the Venetian Hotel, which features a canal going through the hotel for taking gondola rides. Amazing!

We also walked beyond the canyon rim of the Grand Canyon on the glass-floored Sky Walk.

  • We shielded our eyes from the fire of the volcano at Mirage.

  • We enjoyed the sights of New York, New York.

  • We passed through the inside of a pyramid at the Luxor.

Of course, that's just the beginning!

We also shot arrows in the Hunger Games exhibit and defeated the scourge attacking our world at the Marvel S.H.I.E.L.D. Headquarters.

All of this was to film footage from the various locations for the accompanying video course to the book I've written.

But, that isn't why I am writing you. Today, I want to talk about why I love Las Vegas.

It's simple.

For me, Las Vegas represents what can happen when you stop focusing on what's missing and start concentrating on what's possible.

It is the subtle difference between the mindset: "What I can't do" versus asking "What can't I do?"

The Las Vegas Valley is a dry, hot desert. It is a place where life should be rare. Instead, 2.2 million people live there. Las Vegas is known as the "City of Lights." It is a flower blooming in a most inhospitable environment.

What about the dry areas of your life?

They can bloom, too.

Try it. Instead of negativity, start asking yourself, "What can't I do?"

Few things are truly impossible for the person who believes they are achievable.

So...What can't you do?

Hmm. I'm not sure. So here is what you CAN do.

You can bloom right in the middle of the desert you are occupying now. That is one option.

You can also bloom just about anywhere else.

It's your life. You choose.

You are a city of lights. Shine brightly.

Have a good day, all day.
